World Network’s WLD token has climbed nearly 5% over the past 24 hours after Grayscale filed to launch a US spot ETF holding the token directly, lifting the price to around $0.38 while traders weigh whether the recovery can continue.
According to CoinGecko data, WLD has risen from around $0.36 to roughly $0.384 during the past day, extending gains gradually rather than through a single sharp spike.
The token briefly traded above $0.386 before easing slightly, while remaining up about 5% over 24 hours.
Despite the latest recovery, WLD is still down roughly 1.2% over the past week, 36% over the past month and nearly 69% over the past year, showing that the recent move has only recovered a small part of its longer-term decline.
Grayscale proposes spot Worldcoin ETF
Grayscale Investments filed a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for the proposed Grayscale Worldcoin ETF, a product that would hold WLD directly and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker GWLD if approved.
The filing has given investors a fresh catalyst because it would allow traditional brokerage customers to gain exposure to WLD without opening crypto wallets, managing private keys or trading on digital asset exchanges.
Similar filings for other cryptocurrencies have previously generated speculative buying, although regulatory approval remains uncertain.
Based on the registration statement, the proposed trust would track the value of its WLD holdings using the CoinDesk Worldcoin Benchmark Rate, with management fees and operating expenses deducted from the trust’s assets.
Grayscale has not yet disclosed its management fee.
Several important details remain outstanding. The filing leaves blank both the initial seed investment and the amount of WLD represented by each share, indicating that those terms will be supplied through later amendments.
If approved, the trust would operate as a passive investment vehicle holding WLD as its only principal asset.
According to the filing, the fund would not employ leverage, derivatives, or active trading strategies.
Under the proposed structure, authorized participants would create and redeem ETF shares in blocks of 10,000 shares, known as baskets.
These transactions could be completed either by delivering WLD directly or through cash orders supported by liquidity providers.
Custody of the fund’s digital assets would be handled by BitGo Bank & Trust, while The Bank of New York Mellon would serve as administrator and transfer agent.
CSC Delaware Trust Company has been named trustee.
The filing does not guarantee that the SEC will approve the product or that Nasdaq will ultimately list the shares.
Because several material terms remain incomplete, Grayscale is expected to submit amended registration documents before the application can move further through the regulatory process.
Can WLD price continue climbing?
Although the ETF filing has improved short-term sentiment, the technical picture suggests WLD still faces several hurdles before a sustained trend reversal can be confirmed.
On the daily chart, WLD is trading near $0.385, holding above the recent swing low around $0.355 after recovering over the past 24 hours.

The rebound has been orderly, with buyers gradually lifting prices following the ETF announcement instead of producing a brief speculative spike.
The longer-term trend, however, remains under pressure.
WLD continues to trade below both its 50-day exponential moving average at approximately $0.417 and its 200-day exponential moving average near $0.458, indicating sellers still control the higher-timeframe structure.
These moving averages now represent the first major resistance area that bulls need to reclaim before a stronger recovery can develop.
The daily chart also places price below several key Fibonacci retracement levels measured from June’s rally.
The first notable resistance sits around $0.443, corresponding to the 23.6% retracement, followed by approximately $0.490 at the 38.2% level.
If buying pressure strengthens after the ETF filing or additional regulatory developments, WLD could attempt a move toward the $0.54 region near the 50% retracement before encountering another supply zone around $0.582 at the 61.8% retracement.
However, if we look at the current trading volume, it offers a more cautious message.
Daily volume expanded sharply during the June rally but has declined considerably since then.
While the latest news has helped lift prices, volume remains well below the levels seen during June’s breakout, suggesting institutional participation has yet to return in a meaningful way.
The 4-hour chart nevertheless points to improving short-term momentum.

After spending several sessions consolidating between roughly $0.36 and $0.38, WLD has started pushing higher again.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has climbed to around 55, moving above its signal average after recovering from levels close to 40.
That places momentum in bullish territory without entering overbought conditions, leaving room for additional upside if buying continues.
Meanwhile, the On-Balance Volume (OBV) indicator has flattened after weeks of weakness.
Although it has not yet produced a decisive breakout, the stabilization suggests selling pressure has eased compared with earlier this month.
A sustained rise in OBV alongside higher prices would provide stronger confirmation that buyers are accumulating the token rather than simply reacting to the ETF headline.
As of publication time, the recent move looks more like a recovery within a broader downtrend than the beginning of a confirmed bullish cycle.
As long as WLD remains below the 50-day and 200-day EMAs, future rallies may continue to encounter selling pressure.
Still, the ETF filing has introduced a fresh catalyst for the token at a time when short-term momentum is improving.
If WLD holds above the $0.355 support area and buying volume continues to build, traders may begin targeting the $0.417 and $0.443 resistance levels in the coming sessions.
A break above these resistance levels could open the path toward $0.49 and potentially $0.54, while failure to maintain the current recovery would leave the recent lows near $0.355 back in focus.
